Há um nítido fio condutor no caminho que os guitarristas Frankie Chavez e Peixe (Ornatos violeta, Pluto) têm vindo a fazer ao volante do projeto Miramar. Se o primeiro álbum da dupla foi descrito como um diário de viagem numa estrada que se percorre de forma contemplativa e o segundo como um laboratório de lugares, o novíssimo Miramar III corporiza já um álbum de memórias vindas do espaço onde tudo aconteceu. Há visitas, há ruído, há vizinhos, há interferências e possíveis sequelas. Frankie Chavez e Peixe abordam as memórias sob novos ângulos, numa tentativa de regresso ao lugar onde foram felizes, esperando que esse lugar, tal como eles, tenha mudado. É o terceiro volume de uma história contada a dois, onde as partidas e os regressos fazem parte de uma infinita viagem que se simula no tempo.

There is a distinct thread running through the journey that guitarists Frankie Chavez and Peixe (Ornatos Violeta, Pluto) have been taking behind the wheel of Miramar. If the duo’s first album was a travel diary — a road unfolding at a contemplative pace — and the second a laboratory of places, the newly released Miramar III feels like an album of memories rising from the very space where it all began. There are visits. There is noise. There are neighbours, interference, echoes — and perhaps the traces they leave behind. Frankie Chavez and Peixe revisit their memories from new perspectives, circling around them, looking for a way back to the place where they once found happiness. But this is not a simple return. They return in the hope that the place, like themselves, has changed. Miramar III is the third chapter of a story told by two, where departures and homecomings become part of an endless journey — one that keeps unfolding, looping back and travelling through time. A journey that exists somewhere between memory and imagination, between the places we leave behind and the places that remain within us.
